Whether you are a resident or a visitor, everyone loves New York. The beauty and vibrancy are second to none, and Manhattan is everything you thought it would be, and so much more!
I live in Manhattan, and as I'm sure you can imagine, I've greatly explored and took in as much of this amazing area as I could. The enormity of New York, however, makes it impossible to be properly a part of it. However much you try, there just isn't enough time.
These are my favorite parts of Manhattan, When you come to New York I want you see this wonderful city through my eyes, not through a tourist brochure. Trust me, you'll love it!
One of my favorite areas is the amazing East Village. This is where I prefer to spend my evenings in the many wonderful bars and restaurants.
If you want to shop for clothes, grab a drink, or choose from a great variety of food styles, the East Village is the place for you. Geared towards the younger age group of twenties and thirties, this square mile is busy, vibrant and very cosmopolitan. The Lower East side borders it at the bottom and it's very easy to cross from one to other without realising it.
If you are looking for somewhere that caters more for those out of the East Village age bracket, head for the West Village. The trees that line the sidewalks outside the boutiques and cafes add to the attraction of this area. If you like a lively atmosphere coupled with lovely scenery, this is the place for you.
One of the most naturally beautiful parts of the wonderful city is Central Park. Residing in the area known as the Upper West Side, this combines everything that you expect from Manhattan; style and elegance.
I hope I've got across you what a great place Manhattan is, and that no trip to New York is complete without visiting this wonderful borough. Oh there's more, believe me, but that's enough for today!
Felicia knows even more about round tablecloths than she does about Manhattan. You can see this at http://roundtablecloths.org.
